The countdown has officially begun for one of the most eagerly awaited films in Indian cinema.
Makers of Spirit, starring Prabhas, recently unveiled a striking new poster announcing that the film will hit cinemas worldwide on March 5, 2027 — exactly one year from now.
The announcement was shared across social media platforms with the hashtag #SpiritMayhemIn1Year, instantly sparking excitement among fans. With the clock now ticking, the makers appear to have officially kicked off the promotional campaign for what is expected to be a major pan-India spectacle.
The newly released poster sets a dark and intense tone for the film. It features a gritty close-up visual of a hand gripping what appears to be a weapon, with the title Spirit boldly stamped across the frame.
The rugged design hints at a raw, action-driven narrative, something that aligns closely with the expectations surrounding the project.
Directing the film is Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the filmmaker known for his intense storytelling style and emotionally charged characters. The collaboration between Prabhas and Sandeep Reddy Vanga has already generated enormous curiosity among audiences, with many eager to see the actor in a powerful and possibly never-seen-before avatar.
The film is being produced by Bhadrakali Pictures in association with T-Series, a partnership that adds considerable scale and reach to the project.
Meanwhile, another exciting addition to the cast is Vivek Oberoi, who appears in the newly revealed poster with an intense and confident presence. His look hints at a character that could bring depth and moral complexity to the narrative, suggesting that Spirit may rely not only on action but also on strong character dynamics. The film also features Aishwarya Desai in a significant role, adding fresh energy to the ambitious project.
At the centre of the story is Prabhas, who will reportedly portray an IPS officer — a role that marks a notable shift in tone for the actor. According to a source cited by Filmfare, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga is currently working carefully on shaping Prabhas’ on-screen look for the role.

“A photoshoot will be organised on Prabhas to lock his look and hairstyle for the cop role. The superstar had even shed the kilos for the part and looks fit. His lean and mean look will enthral fans," the source revealed.
The insider further added, “Prabhas wanted to allot bulk dates to the film so that he can wrap up in one go," indicating the actor’s strong commitment to the project. Principal photography for Spirit is expected to begin in February 2026.
