There is a growing sense of excitement around Pawan Kalyan's Ustad Bhagat Singh as the makers confirmed that the film has been awarded a U/A certification by the Central Board of Film Certification.

The announcement, shared on social media by Mythri Movie Makers, was met with enthusiasm from fans of Pawan Kalyan, who have been eagerly waiting to see him back on the big screen in full form.

The announcement was shared by Mythri Movie Makers on social media confirming the classification. The team also confirmed in the same post that Ustad Bhagat Singh will release worldwide on 19 March 2026, on the same day as Ugadi, one of the most celebrated festivals in the four Telugu-speaking states.

They captioned the post as, "#UstaadBhagatSingh gets a U/A certificate  This summer, families are set for a blast in theatres with wholesome entertainment GRAND RELEASE WORLDWIDE this Ugadi - 19th MARCH, 2026 #UBSOnMarch19th

The latest poster adds to that anticipation. It shows Pawan Kalyan walking along a serene, tree-lined pathway in a simple blue shirt and trousers, radiating understated confidence. Sreeleela on the other hand, walks beside him with her vibrant and youthful presence in the poster.

Directed by Harish Shankar and music scored by Devi Sri Prasad (DSP), Ustad Bhagat Singh is  shaping up to be one of the much-awaited collaborations of the year.

However, the road to release has not been without complications. The advance booking lineup created by Dhurandhar 2 has eventually changed the dynamics of the initial release plan.

Ranveer Singh and Aditya Dhar’s espionage thriller has seen sensational early bookings for its paid premieres on 18 March, particularly in Hyderabad. With shows beginning as early as 5 PM and the film reportedly running close to four hours, theatre schedules are becoming increasingly tight.

Originally, there were plans for Ustad Bhagat Singh to hold special premieres at 10 PM on the same evening. But practically, accommodating two major films on one night poses challenges. A lengthy runtime reduces available slots, and multiplex chains are naturally leaning towards the film with stronger advance demand.

There is also a strategic element at play. Avoiding a direct premiere clash could allow Ustad Bhagat Singh to find its own voice, free from instant comparisons. Reports suggest distributors have advised a rethink, with early morning benefit shows on 19 March now being considered.
