Dismissing reports of competition, she said "I have watched Vijay's sir's FDFS, never would I compete with him, how does one compete with the biggest star in the country. I have the same immense love for him."

Kongara also reiterated that Parasakthi’s release was driven by its own festival timing and not by any strategic move against Jana Nayagan. She explained that both films faced censor-related challenges, but Parasakthi eventually secured clearance and hit theatres on January 10.
