The film faced stiff competition from Prabhas' starrer horror comedy, The Raja Saab, which has surpassed Rs 100 crore net in India in just three days of its release.

Meanwhile, Parasakthi has also earned a decent collection at the worldwide box office, earning Rs 48.03 crore worldwide. The film collected Rs 17.6 crore overseas. However, the historical drama minted Rs 30.43 crore gross in India.

The film faced a few challenges just before its release. Only at the last minute, after obtaining a UA certificate from the CBFC, was the movie authorised for its January 10 distribution. The producers made 25 changes before approval, including language adjustments and visual cutbacks.
