Actor Naga Chaitanya is looking forward to an exciting 2026 after a successful 2025. The actor is gearing up for the supernatural thriller VrushaKarma and a highly guarded 25th feature film, building on the box office triumph of Thandel and his popular streaming debut Dhootha.
The actor has recently reflected on Thandel and noted, “2025 has been a significant year for me.” The film notably emerged as his biggest theatrical success to date, grossing over Rs 100 crore worldwide and recording the strongest opening of his career with a Rs 21 crore global debut.
With Netflix purchasing Thandel, which co-stars Sai Pallavi, in Chaitanya's largest-ever OTT deal, valued at Rs 40 crore, the movie's success also extended to streaming. Prior to this, the actor expanded his career as a performer with a successful digital debut in the critically acclaimed thriller Dhootha.
Naga Chaitanya is getting ready to maintain that momentum into 2026 with VrushaKarma, which features him in a previously unseen tough persona.
Chaitanya further talked about the film as well as his upcoming project and added, “Thandel in theatres and Dhootha on streaming marked a meaningful shift in my career. With VrushaKarma, I’m stepping into a bold new genre with large canvas, while also taking on a very original and physically demanding role."

He added, "Lots of exciting developments have been underway for my 25th film as well. Now, as I walk into a new year, I’m committed to cherishing moments with my family and choosing solid, impactful stories as an actor. Lots to watch out for!”
The title, genre, and collaborators of Naga Chaitanya's 25th film are still unknown, despite the fact that VrushaKarma hinted at what's to come. A possible second season of Dhootha, which is still one of his most talked-about streaming projects, is also generating increasing interest.
