As the Sankranti festival approaches and the release date for Prabhas's The Raja Saab approaches, the film's promotional buzz is steadily growing. Malavika Mohanan, one of the film's main actresses, has been helping with promotions and recently shared an interesting story from behind the scenes about how she almost got to be in Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire.

In a recent interview with Filmy Focus, the actress said that she got an unexpected call about a project with Prabhas and director Prashanth Neel not long after Master came out. Malavika was curious and excited, so she went to Bengaluru to meet the filmmaker.

She said that Prashanth Neel took pictures of her himself at the meeting. It wasn't a formal photoshoot; he just wanted to see how she looked in both traditional Indian clothes and western clothes. Even though the talks went well, the collaboration never happened.

Malavika said she was a little disappointed at the time because chances to share screen time with a star like Prabhas are rare. But fate seemed to have other ideas. A few months later, she got another call about a Prabhas project, which turned out to be The Raja Saab. "I really thought it was fate," she said, adding that her first time acting with the actor might have been meant to happen through this movie.

Malavika said that her character Bhairavi was lively. She said that the role let her explore a lot of different feelings, like comedy, action, romance, and music. The actress said that director Maruthi often joked that the movie gave her a full portfolio by showing her in different roles in the same story.

The Raja Saab is a horror-comedy movie about a young man who doesn't care about anything and is always looking for easy ways to make money. He has to sell his family's home because he can't afford it, but he soon finds out that his grandfather's ghost lives there. The movie is about whether he can live through the strange things that happen next.

Along with Prabhas and Malavika Mohanan, the movie has a large cast that includes Nidhhi Agerwal, Riddhi Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Boman Irani, Zarina Wahab, and Samuthirakani, among others. This makes for a fun and festive Sankranti release.
