Cast: Rajesh Meru, Navya Chityala
Director: Prajoth K Vennam
Rating: 2.75/5
Telugu film Laggam Time hit the screens today, and it is receiving positive reviews from audiences. This film is a light-hearted romantic comedy that mixes workplace drama with a crazy wedding day twist. This movie is directed by Prajoth K. Vennam, and here is what it looks like.
Plot:
The story is about Surya (Rajesh Meru), a man who works in Pune and falls in love with Ananya (Navya Chityala). A group of vigilantes catches them out late and tries to force them to get married, which is the strangest way for their story to start. This somehow leads to them becoming coworkers.
Ananya ghosts Surya, leaving him completely confused, even though there is chemistry between them. On Ananya's wedding day, she is going to marry someone else, but a series of strange and unexpected events changes everything. It is a race against time to see if fate (and a little bit of luck) can bring the two people back together.
Performances:
Rajesh Meru plays Surya in a way that people can relate to, especially when he speaks in that fun Telangana slang. Ananya thinks he is great at the "heroic spontaneity" moments. Navya Chityala is just as good at showing Ananya's emotional pain and turmoil over being apart.
The supporting actors really add to the story. Every time Nellore Sudharshan, who plays the groom, is on screen, he makes me laugh. Surya's friend is funny because he wants to find a hot woman, and the comedienne who keeps making double-meaning mistakes in her Telugu is a highlight that keeps the theatre lively.
Technicalities:
The movie looks and sounds good. Pavan's music hits all the right notes, especially the emotional song before the climax. Pawan Guntuku, the cinematographer, does a great job of capturing the office life and the colourful chaos of the wedding scenes. Editor Vishwanath Koochanapalli keeps the story moving quickly so that it doesn't feel like it's taking too long.
Analysis:
Director Prajoth K. Vennam should get credit for keeping the story short. Using vigilantes to start the romance was a smart move that grabs the audience's attention right away. The scenes at work are some of the funniest in the movie. For example, an interview turns into a flirting session, which is really funny and makes the romance feel real instead of forced.
The movie does a great job of putting its characters in tough situations. There is one scene where the leads have to get out of a mess that seems impossible, and it's very interesting to watch them do it over the course of a single day. It follows the usual pattern, with dramatic parents and friends who are involved, but it has enough situational comedy and Telangana flavour to make it feel new.

Laggam Time will be right up your alley if you like movies like Pelli Choopulu for their natural dialogue or rom-coms with a lot of situational energy. It has that DNA of accidental love that you see in classic rom-coms, where the universe seems to work against all odds to bring two people together.
Verdict:
Laggam Time is a fun ride that makes you feel good and balances emotional longing with laugh-out-loud comedy. It's the best movie to watch with popcorn if you like wedding-day dramas with happy endings.
