Krithi Shetty became an overnight star with her first movie, Uppena, which made her one of the most talked-about young actresses in Telugu cinema for quite some time. But even though she had a great start, she has had trouble making consistent box office hits. Since then, the actress has tried her hand at Tamil cinema and has kept signing projects in other industries too.
If the latest news from the industry is to be believed, Krithi Shetty could have a big part in Megastar Chiranjeevi's next big project. Reports say that she has been asked to play Chiranjeevi's daughter in a new movie directed by Bobby Kolli. Telugu 360 has written that the part is said to be very important to the story, and Krithi has reportedly agreed to take it. Once the makers have everything set and are ready to start filming, they will make an official announcement.
Chiranjeevi and director Bobby Kolli are in Dubai currently, where they are having final talks about the script. Sources say that these talks should end soon, and if everything goes as planned, the team will make an official announcement. The movie is set to come out soon, and regular filming is set to start in March.
Adding to the excitement, legendary composer AR Rahman will write the music for this big-budget movie, and KVN Productions is backing it on a big scale. Chiranjeevi is done filming Vishwambara, which will come out in the summer of this year.
