Jai Hanuman: Rishab Shetty and Prashanth Varma perform the puja ceremony in Hampi

On 22 February 2026, the makers held a grand muhurat puja ceremony for Jai Hanuman at Anjanadri Betta in Hampi, a location traditionally associated with the birthplace of Hanuman. Rishab Shetty and director Prashanth Varma performed the traditional puja, marking the official beginning of the film’s production.

Jai Hanuman has been one of the most-awaited pan India projects from the South and finally it is all set to go on floors. Actor Rishab Shetty, today, attended a special puja ceremony at the sacred Anjanadri Betta in Hampi and this event was held for his upcoming big film Jai Hanuman. Along with Rishab, director Prashanth Varma also took part in the puja ceremony. The film is produced by Mythri Movie Makers and a massive budget is going to be splurged into the making of this film.

The moment became even more special as he was joined by his wife who stood beside him during the traditional rituals. The couple looked graceful and deeply devoted as they took part in the ceremony.

In the picture, Rishab Shetty is seen wearing traditional attire. He is dressed in a cream colored outfit with a shawl draped over his shoulder. His wife is wearing a beautiful blue saree and is seen performing a ritual by placing a garland around his neck. The atmosphere looks spiritual and peaceful.

RishabShetty arrives for the puja ceremony of the magnum opus JaiHanuman at the Anjanadri Betta in Hampi. Fans are excited to see him take on such a powerful role in this big mythological project. The location, Anjanadri Betta is believed to be the birthplace of Lord Hanuman.

Jai Hanuman is directed by Prashanth Varma and is said to be mounted on a grand scale. Rishab Shetty will be playing the powerful role of Lord Hanuman in the film. After the huge success of HanuMan expectations are very high for this sequel.

There are also strong rumours that Oscar-winning music composer M.M. Keeravani may compose music for Jai Hanuman. Keeravani became globally famous after winning the Academy Award for the song Naatu Naatu from RRR. He is currently busy with several big projects including Chiranjeevi’s Vishwambhara and SS Rajamouli’s upcoming film with Mahesh Babu.

As per the rumours doing rounds on the internet, it is said that Rana Daggubati will be playing the antagonist in the film which is slated for release next year only.
