Jagapathi Babu visits tea stall dressed as Appala Soori from Peddi sets, goes unnoticed by public

Actor Jagapathi Babu recently shared an interesting incident from the sets of the upcoming film Peddi. He said that while shooting for the movie, he stepped outside the set wearing his character costume of “Appala Soori.” Surprisingly, no one recognised him.

“I went outside the Peddi set in the Appala Soori getup to a roadside tea stall, and no one recognised me. We captured i,t and it’s a beautiful video that I’ll share after the film’s release,” he said. His statement has created even more curiosity among fans.

The makers of Peddi recently released Jagapathi Babu’s character poster on his birthday. The production house shared that his role as Appala Soori will be one of the major highlights of the film. The movie is scheduled for a worldwide release on April 30, 2026.

Peddi, starring Ram Charan in the lead role, is one of the most-awaited films this year. The rural action drama is directed by Buchi Babu Sana. The film has already generated strong excitement with its first look posters and teaser glimpse.

The team had recently completed an important shooting schedule in Delhi. Cinematographer Rathnavelu shared pictures from the sets and praised Ram Charan’s performance. Several key scenes were filmed during this schedule. The makers are currently wrapping up the talkie portions, and post-production work is progressing smoothly.

A special high-intensity fight sequence was shot in Hyderabad on a massive set built at the Aluminium Factory. Well-known stunt choreographer Sham Kaushal worked on this sequence, which is expected to be one of the film’s main attractions.

Produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under Vriddhi Cinemas and presented by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings, the film is mounted on a grand scale. Janhvi Kapoor plays the female lead. The movie also stars Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu and Divyendu Sharma in key roles. Music is composed by AR Rahman.

With strong technical support and powerful performances, Peddi is gearing up to be a big entertainer in 2026.
