Akhanda 2 release date faces delay

Nandamuri Balakrishna's Akhanda 2 is all set to hit the theatres on Friday, December 12, after much delay and facing alleged financial difficulties.

The producers have a number of premiere events scheduled across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Ahead of the theatrical release, Akhanda 2 has received pricing increases for premiere performances and the first ten days of theatrical release.

According to Cinema Express, the Telangana High Court has reportedly revoked the decisions in a significant turn of events. Special shows that were planned for tonight have also been cancelled as part of the decision.

However, since normal show reservations have already started, it's unclear if moviegoers would receive a refund or if the new orders will only take effect on Saturday. It is still unclear if the Akhanda 2 crew will be able to continue with their premiere performances as previously scheduled.

Akhanda 2 features an ensemble cast including Samyuktha, Aadhi Pinisetty and others in key roles. Directed by Boyapati Sreenu, the film is produced by Ram Achanta, Gopi Achanta, and Ishan Saksena under 14 Reels Plus and IVY Entertainment, respectively.

The Telugu-language fantasy action drama film is a heartwarming journey that explores the connection between children's innocence, the natural world, and spiritual faith as communities strive for progress.

The producers of Mowgli, the other significant Telugu film this week, have maintained a single-screen ticket pricing of Rs 99. The Mowgli team intends to attract movie buffs with this choice. Mowgli might gain a lot from this move if the reviews for Akhanda 2 are not very positive.
