Ajith Kumar made a strong comeback with the gangster action drama Good Bad Ugly after a long time, to the delight of his fans. Directed by Adhik Ravichandran, the film helped the star reconnect with fans. As per the latest report, the two will work together again on a new project, tentatively titled AK64.
There hasn't been an official announcement yet, but as per Telugu 360 report, Anil Sunkara's AK Entertainments will probably pay for the movie. The production company recently had a hit with the Sankranthi release Nari Nari Naduma Murari. This was a big comeback for actor Sharwanand and proved that the banner was still a box office hit.
Sources say that AK64 will start filming in February 2026. Director Adhik Ravichandran has reportedly made the new movie to appeal to families, which is a change from Ajith's last movie, Good Bad Ugly, which was mostly for fans and had a lot of mass elements.
It is said that producer Anil Sunkara, who is busy putting together big projects, also wants to make a big impact in the Tamil film industry. Reports say that talks between the producer and Ajith are going well and that the project should be locked in soon.

Mythri Movie Makers were rumoured to be backing this project. However, the most recent reports suggest that AK Entertainment is likely to produce the film. However, an official announcement is expected soon.
Ajith has been on a short break for the past few months, but he is expected to return to sets with this project. AK64 is shaping up to be one of Ajith's most exciting projects because it has a well-known director, a renewed focus on content, and a well-known production company behind it. An official confirmation on the same is awaited.
