Rapper Fazilpuria attacked by unknown assailants, narrowly escapes the firing

Haryanvi rapper and singer Fazilpuria, whose real name is Rahul Yadav, had a narrow escape, after unidentified assailants opened fire at him near Badshahpur, Gurugram on Monday, July 14.

The local media have reported that the assailants fired multiple rounds at the rapper, reportedly making him the target. He was in his car at the time of the alleged attack.

The reports have also revealed that the unidentified assailants opened fire at Fazilpuria’s car when he was on the Southern Peripheral Road stretch. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported.

Meanwhile, the assailants managed to flee the spot. The police are currently investigating the attack and the motive behind it. The police are also reviewing the CCTV footage and gathering evidence to identify the attackers. The attack has left his fans and the music community in shock.

For the unversed, Fazilpuria hit the stardom with his 2014 song, Ladki Beautiful Kar Gayi Chull, which was later featured in Alia Bhatt and Siddharth Malhotra starrer 2016 film Kapoor & Sons. The rapper's name has been derived from his native place, Fazilpur village near Gurugram.

Fazilpuria is also known for his popular hits like 2 Many Girls, 32 Bore, and Jimmy Choo. He is reported to be friends with Elvish Yadav.

Besides his music career, he has also tried out in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections from Gurugram on a Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) ticket. However, he lost the election to BJP’s Mukesh Sharma, who won the seat with over 1.22 lakh votes.
