Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi's Ramayana first look launch postponed, will not happen on Ramnavami for THIS reason

The first look launch of Ramayana Part 1 has been postponed due to the ongoing tensions in the Middle East.

Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash starrer magnum opus Ramayana, which is directed by Nitesh Tiwari, was set for a grand first look reveal on Ram Navami which is on March 26, has been postponed due to the ongoing geopolitical conflicts.

According to latest reports in Mid-Day, the makers of Ramayana have now decided to re schedule the event for May 2026.

Film's producer Namit Malhotra has decided to delay the first look release as wants the movie to get a much stable launch. Owing to the tensions currently due to the Iran US war and Middle East he has put a hold on his March launch plans.

Earlier reports suggested that all the arrangements for the 26th March were in place, the event was to be held at the Gateway of India and dignitaries like Home Minister Amit Shah, Reliance Chairman Mukesh Ambani and many others were going to make their presence felt.

Since Ramayana is catering to a global audience, the promotions will only begin in the month of May.

'Ramayana: Part One' will feature Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Yash as Ravana and Sai Pallavi as Maa Sita. Sunny Deol is going to be seen as Hanuman, Ravi Dubey as Lakshman, Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi.

The film's music will see a collab between Hans Zimmer and Oscar Award winner AR Rahman.

‘Ramayana' will release in two parts and in the first one it will show the bal kand, Bala, Ayodhya, Aranya, which is the first leg of Valmiki’s Ramayana.

It is going to release on Diwali this year with the second part in 2027.

Reports also suggest that Ranbir Kapoor has also started shooting for the second part of Ramayana.

The production team has used this strategy to create enough time for post-production work which is needed to achieve IMAX requirements.
