Ranbir Kapoor is set to receive one of the highest pay cheques of his career for his role in the two-part film series Ramayana. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the movie features Ranbir as Lord Rama. Reports suggest that he will be paid around Rs 70 to Rs 75 crore for each film, adding up to a total of nearly Rs150 crore for both parts. This large payment shows just how important his role is and how much faith the filmmakers have in the success of the movie.

The first teaser of Ramayana was released on July 3, giving fans a look at Ranbir as Lord Rama. Alongside him, Kannada superstar Yash plays Ravana, and Sai Pallavi appears as Sita. The film has generated a lot of excitement, not just in India but around the world.

To celebrate the teaser’s release, special screenings were held in nine Indian cities, as well as in New York’s famous Times Square. This shows the global ambition of the movie and its goal to reach international audiences. The story of Ramayana centers around the battle between Lord Rama and Ravana, an age-old tale from Indian mythology that still resonates with people today.

The film also includes other big stars. Sunny Deol will play Hanuman, and Ravie Dubey will appear as Lakshman. The producers have brought together some of the biggest names in Indian cinema to make the film a grand and powerful experience.

Music for the film will be created by two legendary composers—AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer. Together, they promise a memorable soundtrack that matches the film’s emotional and visual depth. Top Hollywood stunt experts Terry Notary and Guy Norris will handle the action scenes, ensuring high-quality and exciting moments on screen.

The first part of Ramayana is set to release worldwide during Diwali 2026, with the second part coming in Diwali 2027. The makers aim to retell this ancient story in a fresh, cinematic way that will appeal to both Indian and global audiences.
