Bollywood choreographer and director Ahmed Khan, known for his legendary work in the film industry, has worked with some of the biggest stars over the years.

From Hrithik Roshan, Shahid Kapoor to Tiger Shroff, he has choreographed almost all the big actors in the industry. However, there’s one name that stands out for him when it comes to unexpected talent and a true student’s spirit—Ranbir Kapoor.

In an exclusive interview with MoneyControl, Ahmed Khan spoke about his experiences working with various Bollywood superstars and the surprise he had in store when it came to Ranbir Kapoor’s dancing skills.

Ahmed Khan, known for his no-nonsense approach, spoke about Ranbir's work ethic and dedication, which surprised him on multiple occasions.

"Ranbir Kapoor is a surprise. The kind of work I've done with Ranbir. Ranbir looks like, Oh, I can't do it. But when he does it, he surprises everybody," said Ahmed Khan.

Ahmed Khan said he was taken aback by Ranbir's effortless grace on the dance floor. “He does it with so much ease that for a moment, you feel, have you choreographed something difficult? Or have you choreographed something so easy that this guy has just done it?" he added.

Ahmed Khan said what sets Ranbir Kapoor apart from others isn’t just his ability to pick up challenging moves—it’s his approach to learning.

Ahmed Khan went on to highlight the actor’s remarkable humility and further said that Ranbir’s grounded attitude in rehearsals and willingness to learn have made him stand out in the industry.

"The best thing about him is he doesn't throw his weight around like I'm a great dancer, like many actors do. He just makes it like normal. Ranbir is a student. I can say if it’s you, say a student, we can shout at him, we can tell him anything. And he takes it very, very positively. So Ranbir, of course," he added.

Other actors and their dancing styles

While much of the focus has been on Ranbir Kapoor, Ahmed also spoke about other stars he’s worked with, who have made an impression with their own unique qualities.

Talking about Shahid Kapoor, Ahmed said he is a childhood friend and is another name that comes up frequently when discussing dedicated dancers in the industry.

“Shahid is also one of the best students. He’s younger than me, but we've almost grown up together in dancing," said Ahmed.

Ahmed Khan also praised Tiger Shroff for his insatiable desire to learn. Tiger is actually a student." He actually likes to learn. The more you teach him that much, the more he learns, and he gives back as much." Tiger’s passion for mastering new dance forms is something Khan admires deeply, describing him as a true learner.

Ahmed Khan said he could not forget Hrithik Roshan, whose excitement to learn has always stood out.

In addition to sharing his thoughts on the stars he has worked with, Ahmed Khan is also gearing up for an exciting new chapter in his career. The choreographer and director recently revealed that he is preparing to launch his son, Azaan, into the Indian film industry. It’s a proud moment for Ahmed as he steps into the next phase of his career, marking Azaan’s debut in Bollywood with great anticipation.
