Singer Rahul Vaidya has been grabbing headlines for quite some time after his viral post in which he spoke about cricketer Virat Kohli blocking him on Instagram. In the latest update, Rahul thanked the latter as he has unblocked him on the social media platform.

In a subtle hint that Virat Kohli had unblocked him, Rahul Vaidya shared a suggested post from the cricket player's account on his Instagram Stories on May 17. The post gave the ongoing online buzz an unexpected turn by making it clear that the earlier block had been lifted.

Along with it he wrote a long note thanking him for the same. he wrote, "Thank you @virat.kohli for unblocking me... you are one of the best batsman cricket has ever seen and Aap India ka garv ho! Jai Hind. God bless you and your family."

For those unaware, the controversy began when singer Rahul Vaidya revealed that cricketer Virat Kohli had blocked him on Instagram. Sharing his reaction through a humorous Instagram Story, Rahul quipped that it might be an algorithm glitch, joking, “Instagram must’ve told Virat Kohli, ‘Let me block Rahul Vaidya on your behalf.’”

However, things escalated when Rahul expressed his frustration with the backlash he received online. He addressed the hate in another story, calling out trolls for dragging his wife and sister into the matter. He remarked that this behavior proved his point, labeling certain Virat Kohli fans as "jokers" and going as far as to call them “2 kaudi ke jokers” for targeting people unrelated to the issue.
