Mega Power Star Ram Charan’s much-anticipated pan-India project Peddi is steadily racing toward the finish line, with the makers currently filming crucial sequences involving the main cast.

Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the film is locked for a theatrical release on March 27, 2026, and the buzz around it continues to grow with every new update.

The latest talking point is the striking first look of Jagapathi Babu, unveiled in a never-before-seen avatar as Appalasoori.

The transformation is so radical that the actor is almost unrecognisable. Sporting dishevelled grey hair, a dense beard, round spectacles and a face etched with hardship, Jagapathi Babu’s look radiates grit and lived-in intensity. It signals a character shaped by years of struggle and hints at a role that could be among the most challenging of his career.

Adding further weight to the ensemble, the makers have confirmed that Boman Irani has officially joined the shoot. Insiders suggest that his role is pivotal and tailor-made, aligning perfectly with his screen persona and acting range.

The announcement was accompanied by a behind-the-scenes photograph featuring Boman Irani alongside director Buchi Babu Sana and cinematographer R. Rathnavelu, instantly fuelling excitement across social media.

Produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under the Vriddhi Cinemas banner, Peddi has consistently stayed in the spotlight since its announcement.

From first-look posters to teaser glimpses, the film has managed to sustain strong online chatter. Its first song, Chikiri Chikiri, turned into a chartbuster almost instantly, crossing an impressive 46 million views within just 24 hours of release.

Led by Ram Charan, Peddi boasts an expansive cast that includes Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu and now Boman Irani. With its scale, strong casting choices and mounting momentum, Peddi is shaping up to be one of the biggest and most closely watched releases of 2026.
