Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan addressed the Hyderabad stampede incident on Monday, stating that Allu Arjun and his team should have contacted the family of the 35-year-old woman involved in the tragedy earlier. However, he refrained from holding the actor or the Telangana police accountable for the actor’s subsequent arrest.

The Jana Sena Party president, who is also Allu Arjun's uncle, said, “In cinema, it’s a team effort, and everyone should be a part of it. In this case, Allu Arjun has been made the sole culprit, which I believe is not right."

The Deputy Chief Minister emphasized that the theatre management, where the film was being screened, should have implemented proper security measures during Allu Arjun's visit. He suggested that the staff should have informed the actor about the situation before he took his seat and taken the necessary precautions.

He also acknowledged that even if the information had been conveyed to Allu Arjun, the loud cheers from the crowd might have prevented him from hearing it clearly.

He further mentioned that Allu Arjun should have taken appropriate precautions. He cited the example of his elder brother, Chiranjeevi, who used to visit theatres alone and in disguise to avoid attention. He also shared that he himself had experienced similar situations in the past.

Allu Arjun visited the Sandhya Theatre on December 4 for the premiere of his film Pushpa 2, which led to a stampede and tragic consequences. A 35-year-old woman named Revathi lost her life in the chaos, and her son sustained critical injuries. Following the incident, the Hyderabad police filed a case against the actor, and he was arrested on December 13. However, he was granted bail shortly after. While a local court had sent him to 14 days of judicial custody, the Telangana High Court granted him interim bail for four weeks, which will end on January 10.
