Panchayat actor Aasif Khan suffers heart attack, writes, "Life is short"

Aasif Khan, known for his roles in popular shows like Panchayat and Paatal Lok, recently suffered a heart attack and was admitted at Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai. The news sent shockwaves among fans and the industry alike, but the actor is now stable and recovering, according to hospital sources. He’s expected to be discharged in a couple of days.

Sharing his ordeal, Aasif took to Instagram to post a photo from his hospital bed along with a deeply emotional message that read:

“Realising after watching this for past 36 hours Life is short, don’t take one day for granted, everything can change in a moment. Be grateful for all you have and all that you are. Remember who is more important to you and always cherish them. Life is a gift and we are blessed.”

Fans flooded his Instagram with messages of support and concern.

In an exclusive statement to India Today, Aasif said,

“Over the past few hours, I’ve been dealing with some health issues that required hospitalisation. I’m grateful to share that I’m now on the road to recovery and feeling much better. I truly appreciate all the love, concern, and well-wishes. Your support means the world to me. I’ll be back very soon. Until then, thank you for keeping me in your thoughts.”

Aasif Khan rose to fame with his performance as Ganesh in Panchayat, the widely loved Prime Video series that also starred Jitendra Kumar, Raghubir Yadav, Neena Gupta, and others. He also made a mark with his role as Kabir M in the first season of the acclaimed crime thriller Paatal Lok.

Starting his journey in Bollywood as a junior artiste in films like Ready (2011) and Agneepath (2012), Aasif gradually carved out a niche for himself. His filmography includes titles like Toilet: Ek Prem Katha (2017), Pagglait (2021), and the upcoming Kakuda (2024). His most recent theatrical outing was the horror-comedy The Bhootni.

As he recovers, fans and colleagues continue to pour in messages of strength and positivity, hoping for his swift return to the screen. His message is clear: don’t wait for a wake-up call to value your health and the people around you.
