The third season of 'The Bear' premiered with an impressive 5.4 million views within its first four days on streaming platforms, as reported by Disney.
This achievement marks a record for FX premieres on Hulu and sets a new high for scripted series debuts on the platform. Including unscripted series, 'The Bear' Season 3 ranks as Hulu’s third-largest season premiere ever. (Note: view counts are determined by dividing the total watch time by the episode's runtime.)
Moreover, Disney highlights that Season 3’s viewership outperformed the Season 2 premiere by 24% in the same timeframe. This continues a trend of growth for 'The Bear,' which initially gained popularity through word-of-mouth in Season 1 and saw a 70% increase in viewership in Season 2.

The 5.4 million views encompass audiences on Hulu, Hulu on Disney+ in the U.S., and Disney+ in international markets where the episode is available, although some regions have yet to receive it. Disney credits Hulu on Disney+ with significantly boosting the season's performance, noting that it is the most successful premiere on this bundle since its introduction on March 27.
Season 3 continues the story of Carmy (Jeremy Allen White), Sydney (Ayo Edebiri), Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach), and the rest of The Bear's staff as they navigate the early days of their restaurant's opening. The cast also includes Abby Elliott, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, Matty Matheson, Oliver Platt, and Molly Gordon.
'The Bear' was created by Christopher Storer, who serves as the showrunner alongside Joanna Calo. Both are executive producers, joined by Josh Senior, Cooper Wehde, Tyson Bidner, Matheson, and Hiro Murai. Courtney Storer serves as co-executive producer and culinary producer. The series is produced by FX Productions.
