Tere Ishk Mein, a love drama directed by Aanand L. Rai and starring Dhanush and Kriti Sanon, is all set to make its way to OTT platforms following its theatrical run. The film opened in the theatres with mixed reviews and had a decent run at the box office.
Tere Ishk Mein will start streaming on Netflix from January 23, 2026, allowing viewers who were unable to see it in cinemas or would like to re-watch it to enjoy this passionate love tale from the comfort of their own homes.
The official Instagram handle of Netflix India announced the release of the film with a gripping poster. The poster was shared with the caption, “Aa raha hai woh ishk jo dil jod bhi de, aur tod bhi de [burning red heart emoji]. Watch Tere Ishk Mein, out tomorrow on Netflix.
Tere Ishk Mein, which debuted in theatres on November 28, 2025, became one of the year's biggest hits, earning over Rs 160 crore worldwide (with reports estimating Rs 161.96 crore globally).
After the cult hits Raanjhanaa (2013) and Atrangi Re (2021), it was Dhanush and director Aanand L. Rai's third collaboration. Because of its examination of passionate, transformational love, it was frequently referred to as Raanjhanaa's spiritual successor.
In a drama that explores heartbreak, obsession, loss, and emotional depth, Kriti Sanon plays Mukti, while Dhanush plays the passionate and intense character Shankar. A.R. Rahman's music enhanced its emotional appeal.
Meanwhile, Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub, Prakash Raj, and others made up the supporting cast. Audiences welcomed its unvarnished depiction of love despite conflicting assessments on its topics (some calling elements "toxic"), making it a commercial success.
Tere Ishk Mein explores Shankar and Mukti's intense love story, which unfolds against the backdrop of Benaras, exploring surrender and transformation through an all-consuming romance that heals, hurts, and changes them.
