The popular dating reality television series, MTV Splitsvilla, returns with yet another exciting season. This edition, Splitsvilla 16, also known as MTV Splitsvilla X6, will emphasize romance and money. In the premiere episode that aired on January 9, 2026, hosts Sunny Leone and Karan Kundrra unveiled the theme for this year’s contestants.

Shortly after, Karan's statement "I even did Splitsvilla in Bigg Boss" became a sensation.

Karan met his partner, actress Tejasswi Prakash, during his time in Bigg Boss 15. Karan humorously remarked while greeting the contestants of Splitsvilla X6, “I even did Splitsvilla in Bigg Boss.” His conversation resonated with many, spreading rapidly.

Additionally, hosts Karan and Sunny Leone disclosed that this time, the house is divided into two sections. The Pyaar residence and the Paisa residence. While heading to the Pyaar Villa, the females discussed the traits they desired in their guy.

At that point, contestant Diksha Pawar aka Deekha remarked that she is attracted to a bad guy who treats her well.

Her remark reminded Karan of the moment he first encountered his beloved. The well-known television actor mentioned that he became a better person due to Tejasswi.

“When an antagonist reforms solely for you, nothing in the world can alter that, and I speak from my own experience,” he shared. Additionally, Sunny disclosed that her husband, Daniel Weber, used to be a villain, but he changed for her.

The creators have injected drama into the show by constructing two distinct villas. That being mentioned, they have also enlisted Uorfi Javed and Nia Sharma, who will portray Mischief Makers in the popular TV series.

Currently, there are 32 participants in the competition. The true conflict starts when Paisa Villa encounters Pyaar Villa.

Eventually, everyone must choose a side. Some may change teams when emotions are at play. Some will remain committed to their initial plan regardless of circumstances.

Selecting between wealth and affection is always challenging. This season will reveal who comes out on top in the end.

Two villas represent two distinct perspectives. A group advocates for discovering authentic relationships. The second group will be assessed for affection or wealth.

The layout becomes evident when you observe both groups simultaneously. This season will determine if love truly prevails or if money speaks more powerfully.
