Gulshan Devaiah and Kalki Koechlin are set to share the screen again after more than a decade, much to the delight of fans who have long admired their fearless, unconventional choices in cinema.

Known for picking roles that challenge the ordinary, both actors have carved out distinctive careers, and their friendship off-screen has remained just as strong as their professional bond.

Their previous collaborations left an indelible mark on contemporary Indian cinema. From the gripping That Girl in the Yellow Boots to the edgy Shaitan and the hauntingly emotional A Death in the Gunj, Gulshan Devaiah and Kalki Koechlin brought a raw intensity to their performances that resonated deeply with audiences.

Industry insiders suggest that the duo is reuniting for a brand-new OTT series on a major platform. While an official announcement is yet to be made, reports indicate that filming is expected to begin in Mumbai later this month.

A source close to the project shared, “Gulshan and Kalki have remained close over the years and have always spoken about their admiration for each other’s craft. They don’t come together unless the material truly excites them. This project is a unique genre. Something they haven’t worked together in. It’s still early days, and the makers want to keep everything confidential for now. But shoot schedules are being planned starting end February.”

Both Gulshan Devaiah and Kalki Koechlin continue to make bold, distinctive choices in cinema. Gulshan has impressed audiences with nuanced performances across mainstream and experimental films, while Kalki has consistently pushed boundaries with daring roles in films, OTT projects, and international ventures.

Gulshan Devaiah recently opened up about why he ultimately did not sign on to Yash’s highly anticipated action-thriller Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, citing scheduling conflicts and professional considerations. Speaking to SCREEN, he revealed, “Geetu Mohandas and I had a long chat over this, and she really wanted me in that film, but it just didn’t work out for a variety of reasons. Mostly, I think it was scheduling, because their film was such a big film.”

He added, “The whole thing was in so many different parts, and I was like, I already have things going on over here, which I’m finding difficult to manage. So if I take up another one in a big franchise-level film, then it would not just work out. So, I didn’t do that.”
