Aldis Hodge starrer Cross is returning for Season 2. The upcoming season doesn't play it safe in a city where danger lurks beneath the surface, and power frequently wears a sweet smile.
Aldis has recently talked about what fans can expect from the new season and said, “I'll say the thing I love about the show is that nobody's ever safe. Whether that means emotionally, personally, whether we're dealing with mortality, you know so don't get comfortable there are so many dynamic changes that shift that you will not expect so like I said Cross and Samson are going to face something that challenges even their relationship from a point of trust and loyalty.
He continued, “Cross is going to find new challenges even within the district working amongst his team and yet again, dealing with the nature of what the idea of duty means, you know, when you're working up against things that are just not okay.”
He went on to express his viewpoint, stating that the narrative examines themes of morality and retaliation, raising the question of whether it is ever acceptable to act immorally for what one perceives to be the right cause. He continued by saying that although many individuals may seem perfect on the outside, a closer look reveals underlying weaknesses, which causes identities to change and gives the impression that no one can be trusted this season.
In addition to veteran cast members Aldis Hodge, Isaiah Mustafa, Alona Tal, Samantha Walkes, Juanita Jennings, Caleb Elijah, Melody Hurd, and Johnny Ray Gill, Season Two brings new cast members Matthew Lillard, Jeanine Mason, and Wes Chatham to the Cross universe. Along with Hodge, the season is executive produced by Sam Ernst, Jim Dunn, J. David Shanks, Aiyana White, Craig Siebels, Owen Shiflett, James Patterson, Bill Robinson, and Patrick Santa, and directed by Craig Siebels, Stacey Muhammad, RT Thorne, Tiffany K. Guilien, and Ed Ornelas.
The compelling crime thriller, which is set against the tense backdrop of Washington, DC, follows Alex Cross, a talented forensic psychologist and homicide detective, as he is forced to confront more morally difficult situations while pursuing a vicious vigilante who targets dishonest billionaire magnates.

As the lines between duty, justice, and retaliation start to blur, loyalty is put to the test, appearances turn out to be false, and trust becomes brittle. As the plot relentlessly rips back layers of privilege, power, and conscience, Aldis Hodge provides insight into the growing risks and difficulties the protagonists confront ahead of the eagerly awaited new season.
The first three episodes of Cross Season 2 will premiere on February 11 on Prime Video. New episodes will be dropped every week, with the finale releasing on March 18.
