Speaking about their impact, director of L2 Empuraan, Prithviraj said, “Not even a single Malayali exists in this world who says they don’t like Mohanlal and Mammootty.” He highlighted their versatility, dedication, and immense contribution to the film industry, calling them a source of inspiration for every Malayali.

Prithviraj, who has directed Mohanlal in Lucifer and now L2: Empuraan, described the actor as a “director’s actor.” He explained that understanding the working process of both Mohanlal and Mammootty is essential to appreciating their brilliance. “Mohanlal sir is a director’s actor. People should know the process behind how Mohanlal and Mammootty approach their roles. It is a great thing,” he added.

Reflecting on his childhood, Prithviraj shared how he grew up idolizing the two icons. “We, as Malayali kids, have grown up watching Mammootty and Mohanlal. I wanted to walk like Mohanlal and speak like Mammootty when I was a child,” he recalled. His words resonated with many fans who see these actors as cultural icons shaping their formative years.

The actor-director also spoke about his long-time dream of working with his favorite actors. “There was a time when people asked me who my dream star cast was, and I told the interviewer that it would be Mohanlal and Manju Warrier. I am so happy today that I could cast them in my film. I feel blessed.”
