The musician spoke about the joy and responsibility of nurturing a multicultural upbringing that allows their daughter to connect deeply with both cultures.

Speaking on CBeebies on BBC iPlayer, Nick spoke at length about their parenting approach and the importance of cultural inclusion.

He said, “My wife is from India and our daughter is being raised to embrace all of the culture that is around her both from India and from the US and it's really exciting for us as parents to think about the things that we love about our cultures whether it's clothing or food or traditions that are important to us and giving her the opportunity to learn about it through books and other programmes and spending time with family where she can really engage and understand where she comes from and her family's history and finding a way to really embrace all those wonderful traditions and things that we love so much about out multicultural family."

“And to celebrate with her has been a real special thing for us as parents.”

During the appearance, Nick also read The Ballad of Cactus Joe by Lily Murray, illustrated by Clive McFarland, a story that highlights the importance of friendship and adaptability.

More recently, Nick Jonas appeared on Jay Shetty’s On Purpose podcast, where he spoke candidly about his marriage to Priyanka Chopra and reflected on the emotional experience surrounding their daughter Malti’s difficult birth.

The musician became visibly emotional as he recalled the intense circumstances under which Malti Marie was born via surrogate in January 2022, arriving three months earlier than expected.

Sharing details he said he had not previously spoken about, Jonas revealed, “She came to the world under sort of very intense circumstances, which I’ve not really talked about, ever,” before adding, “We were expecting her to arrive in April of the year she was born and we got a call that it’s gonna be sooner.”
