Versatile actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui discussed his latest character while candidly speaking in his recent interviews for his next film Rautu Ka Raaz.
He described his character as a "slow-footed" police officer from a small village in Uttarakhand who is unaffected by crime until a murder disrupts the peace.
Rautu Ka Raaz will be released worldwide on ZEE5 on June 28, 2024. The film also premiered at India's 54th International Film Festival in 2023. It features several actors in the cast including Atul Tiwari, Narayani Shastri and Rajesh Kumar in major roles.
Nawazuddin remarked on his preference for shooting on real places rather than sets, saying, “Atmosphere speaks to an actor and gives a kick that brings a natural appeal to the character. On the sets, it becomes a little mechanical... I realized it early in my career when I shot a short film with Irrfan bhai in the deserts of Jaisalmer.”
Nawazuddin has frequently acknowledged his immense admiration for the late legendary actor Irrfan Khan. He has often discussed the tremendous influence Irrfan had on his craft, emphasising how their time together, particularly in stressful settings, inspired his approach to acting. Nawazuddin's enthusiasm for Irrfan is undeniable, and he regards him as one of the best actors he has ever seen. Both actors are regarded as among the best in their fields, known for their outstanding talent and commitment to their work.
The Badlapur actor is popularly known for his incredible work in movies and web series like Gangs of Wasseypur, Sacred Games, Haddi, Saindhav, Serious Men, and Photograph, to name a few.
