Telugu actor Naga Chaitanya, who tied the knot with actress Sobhita Dhulipala on December 4, spoke about how the two actors met in an interview with The New York Times.
Naga Chaitanya also revealed the qualities of his wife, Sobhita, that made him fall in love with her.
Naga, who was born in Hyderabad but brought up in Chennai, is not fluent with Telugu, and as a result, he often asks his wife to speak with him in Telugu so that he can ‘improve’ his language as well.
Naga Chaitanya grew up in Chennai for almost two decades. Though his mother tongue is Telugu, since he was in Chennai, he also knows Tamil well. He studied at Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan and at AMM School in Chennai.
"In our industry we meet a variety of people from different languages. Just hearing that same texture [Telugu] and having that same warmth when you speak to someone—I think it just drew me closer so much faster. I keep telling her to keep talking to me in Telugu so I can improve," he told the newspaper.

"With actors, sometimes we are trying to put something out there about our films or something about a product—most of it is staged in a way. So when something pops up that's very organic and real about a person, I immediately gravitate to that kind of content," he added.
Naga Chaitanya and his fiancée, Sobhita Dhulipala, tied the knot at ANR Studios in Hyderabad on December 4. The wedding was attended by family and close friends. The couple stuck to their Telugu traditions, and Sobhita was the quintessential South Indian bride in her golden kanjeevaram saree. Naga Chaitanya also wore a traditional white outfit.
After the wedding, Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita offered prayers at the Srisailam temple in Andhra Pradesh on December 6. They were later seen at the wedding reception of Aaliyah Kashyap, daughter of Anurag Kashyap, in Mumbai.
