Perfect Harmony Productions and Cisne have unveiled Strings & Wind, a new Indian classical music intellectual property aimed at curating premium concert experiences across multiple cities. Envisioned as a long-term platform, the IP seeks to bring together leading instrumentalists from classical traditions, blending artistic depth with high production values to engage contemporary audiences while honouring tradition.

The debut edition of Strings & Wind will feature a four-city India tour headlined by two of the country’s most revered musicians — Padma Shri awardee and sitar virtuoso Ustad Shujaat Husain Khan and two-time Grammy Award-winning flautist Pandit Rakesh Chaurasia. The tour is presented by Kotak Private Banking, a division of Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.

The concert series will begin in Bengaluru on January 22, 2026, at Chowdiah Memorial Hall, followed by Mumbai on January 23 at the Jamshed Bhabha Theatre, NCPA. The maestros will then perform in Hyderabad on February 14 at Shilpa Kala Vedika, before concluding the tour in Delhi on February 21 at Bharat Mandapam, Auditorium 2.

Each performance will follow a thoughtfully designed two-hour format, featuring individual solo recitals by both artists, followed by a grand jugalbandi finale. This marks the first time Ustad Shujaat Husain Khan and Pandit Rakesh Chaurasia will share the stage together, blending classical solos, improvisational exchanges, fusion elements and Sufi-inspired presentations. The concerts will include a 20-minute interval and accompaniment by noted tabla players and supporting musicians.

Ustad Shujaat Husain Khan, son and disciple of the legendary Ustad Vilayat Khan, is among the foremost exponents of the Imdadkhani gharana, celebrated for his lyrical expression and profound raga interpretation. Pandit Rakesh Chaurasia, a disciple of Padma Vibhushan awardee Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia, carries forward the Maihar gharana flute tradition and is widely regarded as the leading flautist of his generation.

Tickets for the tour are available exclusively on BookMyShow.
