Event management company Team Innovation has released an official statement addressing concerns surrounding the New Delhi leg of Karan Aujla’s P-POP CULTURE India Tour, held on 2 March 2026 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium (JLN Stadium).
The organisers began by thanking fans for the “exceptional turnout”, stating that the overwhelming attendance reflected the strong support Karan Aujla continues to receive across India. They described the audience’s energy and participation as deeply appreciated.
Responding to allegations of overcrowding, Team Innovation clarified that the concert was conducted strictly within the venue’s approved capacity limits and that tickets were sold exclusively through the authorised ticketing partner, District by Eternal.
The organisers stated that the event was not oversold at any point.
However, they acknowledged that some attendees experienced temporary delays at entry gates. According to the statement, a high concentration of arrivals within a short time window led to brief congestion at certain access points.
Approximately 2.5% of attendees reportedly faced wristband scanning delays due to temporary Wi-Fi strain that affected real-time ticket validation systems. The organisers said contingency measures were immediately implemented, including manual ticket verification and on-site generation of fresh QR codes where necessary. All valid ticket holders were subsequently granted entry.
Addressing a video circulating online that showed a physical altercation in a premium section, Team Innovation said the incident has been reviewed internally.
Preliminary findings suggest the situation involved an individual allegedly attempting to steal mobile phones from attendees. When security personnel intervened and asked the individual to leave, the removal process briefly escalated.
The organisers clarified that this was an isolated security intervention related to an alleged theft incident and not a crowd-management issue.
The statement also addressed complaints regarding water prices at the venue. Team Innovation said drinking water inside the stadium was sold at a flat rate of ₹20 in compliance with venue regulations, and multiple complimentary hydration counters were available.
Reports of inflated prices, they noted, appeared to concern independent vendors operating outside the official venue perimeter, who are not managed by the event promoter.
Team Innovation stated that representatives and management were present on-site throughout the event and worked in coordination with venue authorities, licensed security agencies, and local law enforcement.
“All mandated safety measures, barricading arrangements, and emergency response protocols were implemented in accordance with venue requirements and regulatory guidelines,” the statement said.
Reaffirming its commitment to delivering safe and professionally managed live entertainment experiences, the company encouraged discussions around the event to consider “full context and verified information”, while thanking fans across the country for their continued support.
