In the dynamic world of K-pop, talent agencies play a crucial role in shaping the careers of aspiring artists. Recently, Danielle from NewJeans shared insights into her journey and experiences with the agency amidst the ongoing feud between ADOR and HYBE.
Danielle's entrance into the realm of K-pop marked a significant milestone in her career. Having auditioned for various agencies, she eventually found her place at ADOR, drawn by the agency's reputation for fostering creativity and innovation. Her passion for music and performance fuelled her determination to pursue her dreams, and joining ADOR provided her with the platform and resources to realise her aspirations.
In a heartfelt message to fans on 8 May, Danielle reached out via a private messaging app to address concerns and provide reassurance amidst recent quietness. Expressing gratitude for their support, she acknowledged worries from some fans, hinting at personal struggles while assuring them of the group's dedication to their impending comeback. Encouraging fans to anticipate their return, Danielle conveyed excitement for what NewJeans has in store, concluding with a plea for continued support and anticipation from their devoted followers.
"There are some Bunnies who are worried about me because I have been quieter than usual. Thank you so much for looking out for me and supporting me. Although I’ve had a heavy heart recently, we are all doing our best to prepare for Bunnies, so you don’t have to worry. We have so much that we want to show you, so please watch for us," Danielle wrote.
Earlier in a revealing interview, ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin who's the creative director of NewJeans, had disclosed that the group's highly anticipated debut track 'Attention' initially failed to receive positive feedback internally. During the song's listening session, some HYBE representatives expressed reservations about 'Attention', deeming it flat and disliking its unconventional sound style. There were also concerns that NewJeans might struggle to make it big since they didn't fit the traditional K-pop mold.
Initially, Min Hee Jin admitted feeling anxious about whether her choice would resonate with the public. However, she ultimately realised the impossibility of pleasing every listener and remained steadfast in her decision-making process and Newjeans was launched.
