Lady Gaga was clearly soaking in every second of her Grammys moment. At the 2026 Grammy Awards on February 1, hosted by Trevor Noah at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena, the singer took home the award for Best Pop Vocal Album — and turned her acceptance speech into one of the night’s most emotional highlights.

Before stepping on stage, Lady Gaga shared a tender moment with her fiancé, Michael Polansky, leaning in for a kiss as her name was announced. Once at the microphone, she made it clear that he was at the very centre of her gratitude.

“I have to say thank you first to my partner, Michael,” Gaga said. “You are by my side every single day in a way that I can't thank you enough for, and you worked so hard with me on this record all year.”

At 39, Lady Gaga was nominated alongside Michael Polansky for Album of the Year, as he is credited as a songwriter on Mayhem. She closed that part of her speech simply and sweetly, adding, “So, I love you and thank you.”

The moment didn’t stop there. With seven nominations overall — including Record of the Year and Song of the Year — Lady Gaga used her platform to speak directly to women in music, offering encouragement drawn from her own experiences in the studio.

“I know sometimes when you're in the studio with a bunch of guys, it can be hard,” she said. “I urge you to always listen to yourself and always fight for your ideas, fight for your songs, fight for yourself as a producer. Make sure that you are heard loudly.”

Lady Gaga’s appreciation for Michael Polansky has been consistent long before Grammy night. After winning Artist of the Year at the MTV Video Music Awards in September, she reflected on their partnership in an Instagram post.

“Dreaming up this album, making the plan, building every vision with you—talking endlessly about what we would create and do for monsters has been an experience I could not have ever imagined,” she wrote. “I love how much you love my fans and want them to be happy.”

She added, “It fills my heart with happiness how much you love them because we get to love them every day together—you care as much as I do about people feeling seen in the world.”

The A Star Is Born actress has also spoken about how supported she feels in their relationship. Michael Polansky proposed on April Fool’s Day 2024 with a symbolic blade of grass — a gesture as thoughtful and unconventional as Lady Gaga herself.

“I'm forever grateful for how much you love and fight for me,” she shared. “You work so so hard with me from dawn till dusk every day living the music, performances, and plans with your blood sweat and tears—to see it through every step of the way this year I am the luckiest girl alive.” She added.
