Diljit Dosanjh will be making his Late Night debut by being a guest on ‘The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon.’ Ahead of the debut, Fallon and Dosanjh have been having the time of their life backstage with the official Instagram page of ‘The Tonight Show’ posting hilarious videos of the two.
A video showed Dosanjh trying to make Fallon learn Punjabi.
The musician first made Fallon say his iconic catchphrase, ‘Punjabi Aa Gaye Oye’ and Fallon tried to say it properly but kind of butchered it at the end. Dosanjh then made the host say ‘Sat Sri Akal,’ which is a Punjabi greeting. Fallon was able to say this nicely.
The caption of the video also read - “Sat Sri Akal! @diljitdosanjh”
Another video showcased a very cool glove swap between Fallon and Dosanjh. Dosanjh is not just known for his innovative sound but also his terrific fashion sense. He usually wears black gloves while performing so Fallon got him custom white gloves which he exchanged for Dosanjh’s black glove.
The video was captioned as - “Backstage glove swap with @diljitdosanjh! #DiljitOnFallon #FallonTonight
Yesterday, Dosanjh also shared pictures of him in the studio of the late night show on his social media account.
He captioned the pictures on his Instagram as - "The Tonight Show @fallontonight @jimmyfallon @nbc Sound Check Done."
The musician will make his ‘Tonight Show’ debut today and will be performing a medley of his hit songs “Born to Shine” into “G.O.A.T.”
Dosanjh has been cementing his global status by constantly bringing fresh ideas to the table and showing the world the power of original music. He was the first Punjabi singer to perform at the legendary music festival, Coachella. He also performed at Lollapalooza.
He will next be seen in 'Jatt and Juliet 3’ which is slated for release on 27 June.
