Munmun Dutta puts an end to the rumours

In a wave of relief for fans, both Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah director Asit Kumar Modi and actress Munmun Dutta, who plays Babita Ji, have reassured everyone that she has left the sitcom.

This follows Moneycontrol’s confirmation and Asit Kumar Modi’s own comments, aiming to put an end to swirling speculation and confirming Dilip Joshi and Munmun Dutta have not left the show.

Munmun easily put an end to the rumours by posting an interesting behind-the-scenes video on social media. She worked with confidence among the crew while sporting a chic white jumpsuit with striking black patterned details. Her caption was playful but firm.

She captioned the post as, “Rumours are always not true #munmundutta #workmodeon #tmkoc.”

Earlier, Asit Kumar Modi had addressed the rumours directly, urging greater care and positivity on social media in these times of rampant misinformation. He remarked:

“Aapko maloom hai aaj ka social media kaisa hai? Social media itna negative ho chuka hai ki aap positive soch rakhni chahiye. Aur Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah ekdum positive show hai. Family show hai, khushiyan deta hai. To uske baare mein to kuch logon ko positive sochne rakhni chahiye. Yeh nahi ki kuch bhi chhoti-chhoti baaton par kuch bhi rumour faila do, kuch bhi anachahiye baat kar lo. Woh achhi baat nahi hai.”

He emphasised that the show remains a beacon of positivity and happiness, calling out the unnecessary spread of baseless rumours.

Asit then clarified the matter regarding the cast, stating, “Lekin kuch nahi hai, sab log hamari team ka part hai. Kuch unke personal reasons the to us time nahi the. To aise koi baat nahi hai.”

The director not only reassured viewers about the cast but also mentioned how much he values audience participation and comments.

Thoughtful engagement and constructive viewer concerns are always welcome—and taken seriously—he said, despite the fact that social media can be overrun with negativity.

Any remaining uncertainties have been allayed by Munmun's animated BTS post and these resolute assurances. The cherished group is still together and continues to delight families with its distinct fusion of warmth, humour, and optimism. Who's the true star here? A program that brought its viewers together and made them stronger than before.
