Bollywood actress Mona Singh, who was seen as Pammi in horror comedy Munjya, is celebrating the success of her latest film. The actress has taken a break from her hectic schedule and is holidaying with her husband and family in Turkey.

Mona Singh in an exclusive interview with MoneyControl had also confirmed that she likes to unwind and go on small breaks before taking any new project.

She will be back in August and will immediately start work on her next project.

"I think it is important to take a break, to go to some nice place, you take a break from your phone, laptop, social media and I do that very often. At 10 pm, I put away my phone, my Instagram, I need my time and that's the only way you can remain sane. There is so much to consume, so much to watch but main woh nahi karti hoon. Now I have a gap of 20 days and I am going on chutti with my husband. I will come back and in August end I will start with my new show. I am taking a break which is important for us," she had told us.

She also said that the success of Munjya was a perfect example of the fact that 'content is king'.

"The story, and the fact that the movie is doing so well actually reinforces the fact that content is king. It really is. What a beautiful folklore story to tell. A story which travels from Konkan is now travelling world over, across borders. This is uunprecedented love and I feel as an actor my criteria to choose a script or to be part of a film is very simple - it has to resonate with me, it has to surprise me, it has to let me do things that I have never done before. These were the main tick boxes I had to tick with every role that I play. And the fact that Maddock was creating a CGI character for the first time in India, I thought yeh toh bachche zaroor dekhne jayenge," she told moneycontrol.

As Munjya has already entered the Rs 100 crore club in India, Mona Singh is excited with joy. She is having a celebration with her family in Turkey with a moment of cake cutting.

The celebration has to be quite evident as low budget films like Munjya are roaring high on success and Mona Singh has nailed her part with this horror comedy.

The film had no big names but Mona's midas touch has made the film's narrative into gold. With her acting prowess she again proved her mettle on screen.

Mona Singh was seen in hit series like Made In Heaven 2, then Kalapaani, and many others.

Mona Singh's portrayal as Pammi has been instrumental in enhancing the film's appeal. The actor is all set to entertain us with her upcoming projects namely "Ma Kusum" , "Pan Parda Zarda" and one unannounced project with Aryan khan debutorial.
