Vidya Balan believes that the essence of marriage is the exclusive bond between the partners. "To realise that marriage is between two people and should remain between two people at all times, whatever it takes to achieve that, communication, and sharing, is very crucial," she explained. The actor stressed the importance of keeping the relationship intimate, where even family and friends should not intrude on the couple’s personal space.

Her latest film, 'Do Aur Do Pyaar,' which opened in cinemas on April 19, explores the nuances of married life. In the film, Vidya and her co-star Pratik's characters experience the ups and downs of marriage, including falling in and out of love with each other. Vidya found the role intriguing as it presented a scenario she had never personally encountered. "It was funny and scary at the same time because you’re constantly in a tug of war," she shared.
