Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri expressed his grief over the passing of Ramoji Rao Garu on June 8, calling it a significant loss for both the film and media industries. He tweeted that Ramoji Rao was a visionary who transformed news and films, noting that his absence leaves an irreplaceable void.

Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri mourned the demise of Ramoji Rao Guru today (June 8) and said it is a huge loss for the film industry.

He took to his X account and wrote that “this is one vacancy which cannot be filled.”

"Ramoji Rao Garu. Ramoji’s death is not just a very big loss for the film industry but also for the media. A visionary who changed the landscape of news and films. This is one vacancy which can not be filled. Thank you, SIR,” he tweeted.

Vivek described Ramoji Guru as a visionary whose legacy will continue to inspire future generations. His tribute reflects the profound impact that Ramoji Rao Guru had on the Indian film industry, marking the loss as a significant moment for the creative community.

Ramoji Rao passed at a hospital in Hyderabad in the wee hours of Saturday (June 8).

Rao, who revolutionised the news and entertainment industry, died at a hospital in Hyderabad early on Saturday. He was 88.

The Ramoji Film City (RFC) has been recognized by Guinness World Records as the world's largest film city.

Thousands of films, including SS Rajamouli's two-part blockbuster "Baahubali", in almost all Indian languages and some in Hindi, have been shot at the Ramoji Film City on the outskirts of Hyderabad.

Talking of Vivek, he is going to make a film titled 'The Delhi Files’ and he is leaving no stone unturned in his research process, which includes a visit to Gandhi’s Ashram in Sewagram.

'The Delhi Files' will demonstrate the audience an enlightening content.
