John Abraham’s latest film, Vedaa, directed by Nikkhil Advani, is currently pending clearance from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The director of the film, Nikkhil Advani, took to his Instagram handle on Thursday to share the team's frustration with the delay. He emphasized that the film has adhered to all the required protocols and was submitted to the CBFC well in advance. The film was screened for the CBFC on June 25th, following which it was unexpectedly advanced to a revising committee review without any explanation.

"We, the producers of Vedaa feel compelled to share with our fans and supporters that despite our best efforts, we are still to secure a clearance and certification from the CBFC of India," read a statement from the film’s makers. They have been waiting patiently for the revising committee to be formed, but as of now, there has been no progress.

The makers have documented their appeal for certification daily, seeking consideration or at least an explanation for the delay. Despite this unusual situation, the team maintains full faith in the system and hopes that the CBFC will oblige their request soon.

The producers of Vedaa further requested the concerned authorities to look into the matter and resolve it on a priority basis. They highlighted the significance of August 15th, a date they have chosen for the film's release, which coincides with India’s Independence Day. The producers feel fortunate to bring their film to the audience on such a significant date, especially considering the success of their previous releases like "Satyamev Jayate" and "Batla House," which were also released on Independence Day.

Vedaa is a powerful, out-and-out entertaining film, inspired by current events. We believe it deserves to reach its audience. It is our sincere endeavor that we will be able to keep our appointment with you," concluded the statement from the makers.

The delay in clearance has put the film’s release schedule in jeopardy, causing concern among fans eagerly awaiting its release. The film’s cast, including John Abraham, Abhishek Banerjee, and Sharvari Wagh, have expressed their anticipation and hope that the film will be able to meet its intended release date.

The storyline of Vedaa promises a gripping narrative inspired by real events, aiming to deliver both entertainment and a thought-provoking message to the audience. The anticipation surrounding the film has been building steadily, with fans looking forward to another compelling performance from John Abraham, known for his impactful roles in films addressing social issues.

"Vedaa" is also expected to feature Tamannaah Bhatia in a pivotal role, adding to the film’s star power. The film's release on August 15th would position it in a box office clash with Rajkummar Rao and Tamannaah Bhatia’s "Stree 2," raising the stakes even higher for both films.

The unusual delay by the CBFC has raised questions and speculations within the industry. While delays in certification are not unheard of, the lack of clear communication from the board has added to the frustration of the filmmakers. Industry insiders are closely watching the situation, hoping for a swift resolution that will allow "Vedaa" to reach its audience as planned.

In the meantime, the marketing team behind "Vedaa" continues to engage with fans and keep the momentum going through social media updates and promotional content. The team remains optimistic and is doing everything in their power to ensure that the film is ready for its grand release on Independence Day.

As the release date approaches, all eyes are on the CBFC and their decision regarding "Vedaa." The film, with its powerful narrative and strong performances, holds the promise of being a significant addition to the landscape of Indian cinema. Fans and industry stakeholders alike are hopeful that the film will overcome this hurdle and be available for audiences to enjoy on the big screen.
