Filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari is gearing up for the highly anticipated film Ramayana starring Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi as Lord Rama and goddess Sita. The makers have started filming a few scenes, but they have yet to finalize some of the cast members.
Now, the recent reports have suggested that television actor and OTT star, Mohit Raina, who rose to fame for playing Lord Shiva in Devon Ke Dev... Mahadev, will most likely join the star-studded cast of Ramayana. The actor is speculated to play the role of Shiva in the film.
According to India Forums, sources close to the production have revealed that the talks of casting the actor are currently in the advanced stage.
Meanwhile, Mohit Raina has portrayed the role of Lord Shiva in several television series, and fans have been left excited after reports of his reprising role in the upcoming film swirled around the internet.

The Indian mythology-inspired film features an ensemble cast including KGF star Yash as Ravana. The film also stars Sunny Deol, Ravi Dubey, and Lara Dutta in pivotal roles. Additionally, Kajal Aggarwal is speculated to play the role of Ravana's wife, Mandodari.
The film is set to release in two parts, with the first part scheduled for Diwali 2026 and the second part in 2027.
On the work front, Mohit Raina currently has a series of exciting projects in his pipeline. His latest credit includes Kankhajura, a Hindi adaptation of the Israeli series Magpie. The series premiered on SonyLIV on May 30. He stars alongside Roshan Mathew and Sarah-Jane Dias in the recently released series.
