Singer, songwriter and actor G.NA, whose real name is Gina Jane Choi, returned to South Korea for the first time after a decade. G.NA posted a number of pictures on her Instagram Story on March 4.
She took a photo and wrote, "I suck at selfies," as the brief caption. She has her long hair down and is beaming at the camera in the picture. She makes a V sign with her hand in another photo taken in a café, looking happy.
In another pic, she penned in the caption, "Surprise?."
With songs like "Black & White" and "Top Girl," G.NA made a big splash after making their debut in 2010. Fans gave her a lot of encouragement, and she rose to prominence in the K-pop industry.
However, she was punished in 2016 for breaking the Act on the Punishment of Arrangement of Commercial Sex Acts, which sparked a heated debate. She apparently left the Korean entertainment scene after the event and relocated to Canada.
G.NA discussed the experience in an Instagram post last year. She claimed that working in the Korean entertainment industry had profoundly altered her life and that she had long since buried the story in her heart.

She clarified that the stillness that ensued was more agonising than the actual incident. She added that she chose to go missing in order to live rather than to conceal the truth.
Fans have taken notice of her recent social media post, which is a rare public appearance since she left the Korean entertainment scene about ten years ago.
