As the Grammy Awards approach, K-pop fans have reason to celebrate as the sensational sextet KATSEYE is set to perform at the ceremony, which will be held on February 2, 2026, the Recording Academy confirmed.
The K-pop group is among the eight nominees for the prestigious Best New Artist award and is slated to perform at the 68th Grammy Awards at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on February 1, local time, according to the academy’s announcement on Wednesday (U.S. time).
Formed through HYBE’s global audition project The Debut: Dream Academy, KATSEYE made its U.S. debut in June 2024. The group quickly captured the attention of global music fans after entering the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 main singles chart with tracks like “Gnarly” and “Gabriela.” Earlier this year, they released their latest single, “Internet Girl,” further cementing their growing presence in the international music scene.
The Recording Academy, which organizes the Grammy Awards, confirmed on January 21 that KATSEYE will perform during a special stage featuring all eight nominees for the Best New Artist category. This will give viewers a unique opportunity to see the group share the stage with other breakout artists in one of the most-watched segments of the awards ceremony.
This year, KATSEYE has not only been nominated for the Best New Artist award, which recognises outstanding rookies in the music industry, but also for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. The group first garnered attention in the United States by entering the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart last year with “Gnarly” and “Gabriela.” Following this, their second EP BEAUTIFUL CHAOS climbed to 4th place on the Billboard 200, the main album chart, marking another milestone in their rapidly rising career.
Earlier this year, the group released their new single, “Internet Girl,” which has been widely praised by fans and critics alike. In addition to their Grammy performance, KATSEYE is also scheduled to perform at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in April, marking another significant step in their international career.
