ARMYs are eagerly anticipating BTS’s comeback album after a hiatus of over two years, and fans were recently treated to an exciting update from the group about their progress.

On December 16, all seven members of BTS β€” RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook β€” went live together on the fan community platform Weverse. During the session, they spoke candidly about their growing excitement and longing for a full-group comeback following their military hiatus.

Offering a glimpse into their current routine, Jimin shared, β€œWe practice together, and in the evenings we gather and just chat.” He also expressed that the wait has felt longer than anticipated, admitting, β€œTime feels slower than we expected, so it’s frustrating.” Jungkook added a dose of realism to the conversation, saying, β€œWe’re not even ten percent ready yet,” while Suga reassured fans, confirming that the comeback would be announced β€œin the near future.”

RM voiced what many fans have been feeling, stating, β€œI want to come back so badly I feel like I’m going crazy,” and added pointedly, β€œWhen is the company announcing it? I’m losing my mind. HYBE, please announce it already.” He also hinted at ongoing preparations, mentioning, β€œDon’t we have another meeting tomorrow?” β€” a statement that has fueled speculation that an official announcement regarding the comeback may be imminent.

The anticipation surrounding the new album is heightened as BTS’ group promotions were largely paused during the members’ extended military enlistments. Their last full-group release was the digital single Take Two in June 2023, which marked the band’s 10th debut anniversary.

All BTS members completed their mandatory military service this year. The group has confirmed plans to release a new album in March 2026, followed by a large-scale world tour β€” marking their first full-group activities in several years and reigniting excitement among fans worldwide.
