RM of BTS is preparing to present a deeply personal art exhibition in partnership with the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA), marking a significant moment in his journey as both a global music icon and dedicated art patron.
Titled RM x SFMOMA, the exhibition was confirmed in reports on February 19 and is scheduled to run from October 3, 2026, through February 7, 2027, in California.
The four-month showcase promises to give fans and art lovers an intimate look into RM’s private collection, highlighting the artistic inspirations and philosophies that have influenced his worldview over the years.
Widely known for visiting galleries and museums across South Korea and internationally, RM has steadily earned recognition as a discerning collector with a refined appreciation for modern and abstract art.
His thoughtful engagement with visual culture has often been reflected in interviews and public appearances, where he has spoken about the emotional and intellectual impact art has had on him.
The upcoming exhibition is expected to feature a selection of works personally collected and curated by RM, offering insight into his long-standing passion for visual storytelling and cross-cultural dialogue through art.
Speaking about the same, RM said in a press release announcing the display, “We live in an age defined by boundaries. This exhibition at SFMOMA reflects those boundaries: between East and West, Korea and America, the modern and the contemporary, the personal and the universal. I don’t want to prescribe how these works should be seen; whether out of curiosity or study, all perspectives are welcome. My only hope is that this exhibition can be a small but sturdy bridge for many.”

As of now, SFMOMA has not released ticketing details for the exhibition.
Meanwhile, BTS is gearing up for their much-awaited comeback as a full group after three years. The band is set to release their new album on March 20, 2026, and will follow it up with an ambitious 34-city world tour comprising 81 shows beginning in April this year, shortly after the album’s launch.
