BTS members are slowly letting fans into their personal worlds, and the latest adorable revelation comes from J-Hope. The rapper recently surprised fans by confirming that he has not one, but two cats, adding to the growing list of BTS members who are proud pet parents.

The revelation came during a recent livestream, where J-Hope responded to fan questions about whether he owned a cat. To the delight of ARMYs, he casually disclosed that he is now a full-fledged cat dad, despite originally identifying as a dog person.

“I also have two cats. You might have heard cat sounds coming from my place. My cats actually each have their own story. One of them is a rescued cat, and the other one is a cat that was abandoned,” J-Hope shared during the broadcast.

He went on to explain that his affection for cats developed naturally after caring for one, joking that his social media algorithm soon became completely overtaken by cat content. That exposure, combined with hands-on experience, ultimately led him to adopt his own furry companions.

Longtime fans weren’t entirely shocked by the news. Over the past several months, ARMYs had picked up on subtle hints during previous livestreams. In one instance, a cat tunnel could be spotted reflected behind J-Hope’s chair, while in another, faint meowing could be heard in the background—sparking widespread speculation online.

Although J-Hope chose not to show his cats on camera, fans were thrilled just to have the confirmation.

Interestingly, this revelation follows fellow BTS member Suga’s recent introduction of his own cat, Tang. During a separate livestream, Suga revealed that Tang is a three-year-old black cat named after “seoltang,” the Korean word for sugar. Tang weighs 6.4 kilograms and was adopted through a friend rather than a long-planned decision.

Suga described Tang as calm, affectionate, and unusually gentle, noting that the cat enjoys kneading, chin scratches, and even belly rubs—something many cats resist. He also shared that Tang is patient enough to allow nail trimming without protest.
