Just as fans are anticipating their 2026 comeback, BLACKPINK has accomplished yet another significant milestone. Kill This Love, one of the group's greatest singles, has had over a billion Spotify streams.

The song, which was released in 2019, is still gaining popularity all around the world. With this accomplishment, BLACKPINK became the first female K-pop group to have multiple songs exceed the platform's billion-stream milestone.

With over 1.21 billion plays, their previous single, "How You Like That," is still their most-streamed song and is still getting more every day. The only other female group in the world to accomplish the same achievement with two different songs is Fifth Harmony.

The lead single from BLACKPINK's self-titled album, Kill This Love, was released in April 2019. This song helped the group attract more listeners outside of Asia just a year before How You Like That became a global hit. The song significantly increased Jennie, Jisoo, Rose, and Lisa's fan base in the West and helped them become more well-known worldwide.

With almost 960 million plays on Spotify, BLACKPINK's 2022 album Pink Venom is also on the verge of being a member of the billion-stream club. Shut Down, which is getting close to 850 million plays, and DDU-DU DDU-DU, which has accumulated about 835 million streams, come next. A number of other BLACKPINK songs, such as As If It's Your Last, Kiss and Make Up, Lovesick Girls, BOOMBAYAH, and Ice Cream, their joint song with Selena Gomez, are still doing well on the platform.

In 2019, BLACKPINK released their first song, Kill This Love, following the announcement of their collaboration with Universal Music Group and Interscope Records. The group's music is distributed in all non-Asian regions via the labels.

Since then, the ensemble has kept breaking new territory. They became the first K-pop girl group to headline Coachella in 2025. Additionally, BLACKPINK is the music group with the most YouTube subscribers. In addition to their collaborative efforts, each of the four members has put out solo songs, all of which have achieved success on global music charts.

Jennie, Jisoo, Rose, and Lisa are currently working hard on their much-anticipated return album. The trio is finishing up their DEADLINE tour with final performances across Asia in addition to new music. On January 16 and 18, BLACKPINK will play in Tokyo. On January 25 and 26, they will perform in Hong Kong.
