K-pop sensation BLACKPINK has officially ignited excitement among fans worldwide by unveiling the concept photos for their much-anticipated upcoming mini-album, DEADLINE. At midnight KST on January 30, YG Entertainment released four striking black-and-white images that immediately sent social media into a frenzy, offering a tantalising first look at the group’s next era.

The newly revealed images feature intense close-up portraits of Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa. While minimal in composition, the visuals are powerful in impact—revealing just enough to spark intrigue while carefully preserving the mystery surrounding the album’s concept and sound.

Opting for a monochrome aesthetic, the concept photos focus on sophistication and restraint. The intimate framing highlights fine details like texture, styling, and expression, prioritising mood over spectacle. By removing colour, the visuals create a sense of elegance and authority, presenting a fashion-forward identity that is both minimalist and commanding.

Shot in a sleek black-and-white palette, the images convey tension and poise. Polished updos, bold accessories, and sculptural poses are paired with pristine white outfits and delicate hand detailing, forming a look that is captivating in its simplicity.

The announcement comes shortly after the end of BLACKPINK’s world tour, which included 33 shows in 16 cities, further cementing their status as global icons.

DEADLINE is scheduled for release on February 27 at 2 pm KST (10:30 am IST). The mini-album marks BLACKPINK’s first full-group release in approximately three years and five months, following their 2022 album Born Pink.

While all four members renewed their group contracts with YG Entertainment in December 2023, they chose not to renew their individual contracts.

Since then, each member has embarked on independent ventures—Jennie launched Odd Atelier, Lisa founded Lloud, Jisoo established Blissoo, and Rosé signed with YG subsidiary The Black Label—signalling a new phase of creative independence alongside their continued journey as a group.
