Since the passing of Korean actress Kim Sae-Ron, actor Kim Soo Hyun has found himself embroiled in a growing controversy that has attracted significant attention for all the wrong reasons. Amidst the ongoing scandal, break-up messages between the former couple have now gone viral.

The actor is facing accusations of dating Kim Sae-Ron when she was a minor. Although both Soo Hyun and his agency have repeatedly denied these claims, a series of text exchanges between the two have surfaced online, intensifying the speculation.

In the leaked texts, Kim Sae-Ron is reportedly seen expressing her frustration with Soo Hyun's behaviour. “Oppa, when you miss me and need me, you keep in touch with me without a problem, but when I need you, you’re always MIA. It bothers me that I can’t get in contact with you, and it’s inconvenient. If you don’t put in the effort, then I’m not seeing you anymore,” she allegedly wrote, hinting at her desire to end the relationship due to his lack of availability.

This revelation follows a statement from Kim Soo Hyun, where he addressed the claims surrounding his relationship with Sae-Ron. In his response, the actor made it clear, “I’ll address the biggest concern—I did not date the deceased when she was a minor. We dated five years ago for about a year, long before Queen of Tears aired.” Soo Hyun went on to explain why he had previously denied the relationship, noting, “As the lead actor of Queen of Tears, I couldn’t confirm the relationship publicly because of its potential impact on the cast and crew.”

Kim also refuted accusations that his agency had exerted pressure on Sae-Ron regarding her debts. He clarified, “Aside from the fact that we were both actors, we were simply an ordinary couple who broke up over time.” His agency, Gold Medalist, also addressed the controversy, confirming the couple’s relationship in 2019 and 2020. They further stated that a viral photo allegedly linked to the scandal was taken in 2020, not 2016, as previously suggested.

Despite the ongoing controversy, Soo Hyun’s stance remains consistent in denying the accusations, while the investigation continues to unfold.
