  • Kim Kardashian may remove Kanye West's surname from their kids' legal names
  • She may seek full custody due to West's inconsistent involvement.
  • No legal action has been confirmed by Kardashian or West at this time

Kim Kardashian is reportedly considering a major legal step involving her four children with ex-husband Kanye West, as ongoing co-parenting tensions allegedly continue to escalate. According to a report by Tribune - The EXPRESS the reality television star and entrepreneur is weighing the possibility of removing West’s surname from the children’s legal names, citing what sources describe as his inconsistent involvement in their lives.

Kardashian and West share four children: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm. The former couple finalized their divorce in 2022 and agreed to joint legal and physical custody at the time. However, sources quoted by RadarOnline allege that the arrangement has become increasingly strained in practice. One insider claimed Kardashian feels she has been raising the children largely on her own, with West’s participation described as irregular over recent months.

The report allegedly suggests that Kardashian has privately discussed changing the children’s last names to Kardashian, arguing that she has assumed full-time parenting responsibilities. According to the same source, Kardashian reportedly believes the children’s daily lives, routines, and emotional care are primarily handled by her, making the name change feel reflective of the current reality rather than an emotional decision.

In addition to a potential name change, RadarOnline claims Kardashian may also be reportedly considering pursuing full legal custody. Sources cited in the report allege that limited communication and engagement from West have contributed to her thinking.

Kardashian’s recent public remarks have further fueled speculation. In interviews, she has spoken about often being the only parent consistently present for her children, comments that observers believe may hint at deeper challenges behind the scenes.

West, who remarried Bianca Censori in late 2022, has previously accused the Kardashian family of restricting his access to the children. Kardashian has publicly denied those claims. On a recent episode of The Kardashians, she addressed the issue directly, stating that West knows where the children live and how to contact them, and pushing back against allegations that she has interfered with his parenting role.

As of now, neither Kardashian nor West has publicly confirmed any legal action regarding a name change or custody modification. Representatives for both parties have not commented on the RadarOnline report. Any move to alter the children’s legal names or custody arrangement would require court approval, making the situation legally complex.
