Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor, known for her strong bond with her husband Saif Ali Khan's family, has shared a heartfelt and sweet birthday wish for her mother-in-law, Sharmila Tagore. Kareena often expresses admiration for Sharmila, who is an iconic figure in Indian cinema.

Their relationship is a beautiful example of warmth and respect, and Kareena’s gesture reflects the love and affection they share. Fans of the family have also joined in, sending their best wishes to the veteran actress on her special day. Sharmila Tagore, who turns 80 today, is receiving an outpouring of wishes from her well-wishers across the globe.

Kareena Kapoor Khan took to her Instagram to share a picture with her mother-in-law, Sharmila Tagore, and affectionately called her the "coolest gangsta ever."

She captioned the post as, "Who’s the coolest Gangsta ever? Do i need to say?

Happy birthday to my mother in law

Just the Best.."

As soon as the post was uploaded, the comment section was flooded with appreciation for the duo, along with heartfelt birthday messages for the legendary actor.

One wrote, "Bestest she is. Gorgeous and lovely one of the first female superstars. I don’t think she’s acknowledged enough." another wrote, "Happy Birthday beutiful sharmila ji allah bless you"

Saba Ali Khan, Saif Ali Khan's sister also wished her mother in the comments writing, "Lovely  Happy birthday ma . Love u guys"

Sharmila Tagore, born on December 8, 1944, in Kanpur, comes from the esteemed Tagore family, known for its cultural and literary legacy. Her father, Gitindranath Tagore, worked as a general manager at the British India Corporation, while her mother, Ira Tagore, was from the Assamese Barua family. Sharmila is also a distant relative of Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore.

In 1968, Sharmila Tagore married cricket legend Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, stepping into a new role as the Begum of Pataudi. The couple had three children: Bollywood superstar Saif Ali Khan, jewelry designer Saba Ali Khan, and actress-author Soha Ali Khan. Sadly, Mansoor Ali Khan passed away in 2011 at the age of 70.
